How to navigate the Playing Field of Life as a Caves, Markets, Kitchens, Mountains, Valleys or Shores Person this month.

A new world order is taking shape before our very eyes.

And depending where you are in the world, you may literally see things veeeeery differently than your companions around the globe.

This is NOT a “balance and beauty” Libra Season.

And though Libra — the only zodiac sign represented by an inanimate object — comes with ideas of peace, harmony and balance, it is a Cardinal Sign.

This is an initiatory season.

So this month, let's move away from the classic Libran word of BALANCE and swap it with another:

TERMS.

What are the terms of the agreement?
What are the terms of the relationship?
What are the terms under which you're willing to participate?
Have the conditions changed enough that the terms need to change too?

As Libra Season opens, there are striking formations in the skies above us. Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are creating new activations across the wider landscape of the Playing Field of Life.

Uranus asks: What needs to change, modernize, liberate or update?

Neptune asks: What is REAL? What are we imagining? What vision are we moving toward?

Pluto asks: What deeper systems are already undergoing irreversible transformation?

And in the spirit of Libra Season, the atmosphere is tinged with opportunities to negotiate a workable arrangement between rapidly changing realities.

Virgo Season helped us figure out what works. Libra Season asks how we're actually going to RELATE to one another inside a changing world.

Libra Season may begin conversations politely... but as the season presses on, we'll start asking what the hell everybody ACTUALLY means.

Right in the middle of Libra Season, Venus will retrograde in Scorpio.

This is the defining movement of the month because Venus rules Libra. So when the ruler of the season turns around, we're invited to turn around too — revisiting our relationships with money, value, attraction, loyalty, intimacy, resources and one another.

This becomes much less about simply “finding balance” and much more about reassessing which relationships, agreements, values, resources, loyalties and exchanges are ACTUALLY worth maintaining.

This is happening personally.

But it's happening collectively too.

Since I'm writing from within the Canadian atmosphere, let's use what's happening in Canada as a practical example: Canada and the United States are deeply reevaluating the terms of their relationship — their exchanges, shared resources, alliances, values and loyalties.

Countries are strange, formless entities — yet somehow, they take on a collective spirit.

And whether we're talking about countries, businesses, friendships, families, partnerships or communities, the questions are the same:

What is worth maintaining?
What is this relationship, exchange or agreement ACTUALLY worth?
Am I receiving something proportionate to what I am giving?
What arrangement is ACTUALLY sustainable?

This month, each of us is being invited to create a different relationship to relationship itself. And while Venus Retrograde pulls much of the focus, another major shift is happening in the background.

Pluto moves direct.

After mooooonths of retrograde motion, the planet of power and transformation begins moving forward again through Aquarius — the sign associated with networks, technology, collective organization, systems, social structures and the future.

Something that has been undergoing deep internal restructuring begins moving outward again. You're gonna feel this.

This isn't just about identifying what doesn't work anymore. It's about actually doing something about it.

Renegotiating.
Reorganizing.
Recommitting.

Or walking away from terms you are no longer willing to accept!

So as you move through Libra Season this month, consider:

What are you holding onto because you truly value it — and what are you holding onto because you're afraid of losing control?

Caves

Your Cave is not meant to become a prison.

Caves People understand something fundamental about terms. Who gets in? Who stays out? What happens once someone crosses the threshold and enters your space?

You need to control how others access you — one entry point to the room, one entry point to working with you.

Too much access to you, too many entry points... this destabilizes you.

Your life works best when you have some authority over the conditions surrounding you. You need to know where you stand to feel safe and secure.

But Libra Season may reveal where protection has become control.

This season may bring your attention to the agreements operating inside your Cave.

What are the actual terms of participation here?

Something you once agreed to may no longer feel fair. Someone may want greater access than you're willing to give, or you may be maintaining an arrangement simply because renegotiating it feels scary.

Unsafe.

Venus Retrograde asks you to look carefully at what you value, especially around loyalty, intimacy, money, trust and shared resources.

As Pluto moves forward again, something going on beneath the surface may require an outward decision. An agreement may need new terms. Your Cave is not meant to become a prison. It is meant to protect what matters enough that life can happen safely inside it.

Your Market is not meant to stay the same forever.

Markets People are deeply seasonal. What belongs on the shelves changes. What people want changes. What you have available changes. The people moving through your world change too. You are built to notice what is circulating, what is becoming valuable, and when something has simply run its course.

Or expired.

Libra Season asks you to take inventory. What are the terms of exchange here? What are you giving? What are you receiving? What still feels valuable enough to keep offering your time, energy, money or attention to — and what has gone stale because you're afraid there won't be something better to replace it?

Venus Retrograde makes this especially interesting for Markets People because it turns your attention toward value itself. Something that once felt desirable may no longer hold the same appeal. That’s great information to respect! An exchange that once felt worthwhile maaaaay need some renegotiating. You may find yourself returning to something from another season and discovering either yes, this still belongs here — or realizing very clearly that it doesn't.

THAT is valuable information.

Markets thrive through turnover. Refreshing the shelves does not mean everything was wrong before; it means the season changed. You can work with that! You can PLAN for that. That change, that refresh, that plan actually creates a relatively predictable expectation for you.

As Pluto begins moving forward again, pay attention to what wants to circulate differently now, or what has gained power in some way. What needs to be restocked, repriced, rearranged or released altogether?

What are you holding onto because you truly value it — and what are you keeping in stock because you're afraid of an empty shelf?

Your Kitchen is not meant to preserve the recipe. It's meant to transform what's here.

Kitchens People are built for mutation. You take what’s available, combine it, test it, adjust it — and create something that didn't exist before. But here's the head scratcher: something can work beautifully once and still stop working later.

The ingredients change.

The conditions change.

You change.

Libra Season asks you to examine the terms of the process. What are you putting in, and what are you actually getting back? Which relationships, routines, projects or commitments are still producing something worthwhile — and what are you continuing to work on because you're afraid to waste what you've already invested?

It’s OK to break up with things sometimes.

Venus Retrograde may expose the ingredient that's throwing off the whole mix. Something may need to be removed, substituted, brought back in — or finally declared finished. Be careful not to confuse transformation with endless rehabilitation.

Not everything needs another round of experimenting. Some things have already given you everything they can.

Kitchens thrive through experimentation because you're designed to play to the conditions that exist now. Changing the recipe doesn't mean the old one failed. It means the environment has mutated enough that the old formula may no longer produce the same way in the future.

What are you holding onto because you truly value it — and what are you still trying to make work because you're afraid to admit the experiment is over?

Mountains

Proximity can blur what distance makes clear.

Mountains People need distance to see clearly. When you get toooooo close to the noise, the conflict, the opinions, the urgency — you can lose your advantage. Libra Season is relational, but that does not mean every relationship deserves immediate access to you. Sometimes the most useful thing you can do is rise above the situation long enough to see what is actually happening.

This season asks you to reconsider the terms of engagement. What are you willing to participate in? What is pulling you into a dynamic that makes it harder to hear yourself think? What relationship, agreement or commitment looks completely different once you stop standing inside everyone else’s emotions?

If you recently got involved in something, it’s also likely that you pulled away somewhere.

Where was that for you?

That’s important information for the month ahead.

Something that once seemed urgent may suddenly look small. A relationship you were trying to preserve may reveal terms you no longer respect. Or something you dismissed may become more meaningful once the noise clears. You do not need to descend into every conflict to understand it.

As Pluto begins moving forward again, let your perspective become useful. The point of the Mountain is not escape — it is clarity without contamination. See the whole pattern. Decide what is worth coming down for. Decide what deserves your energy. And let the rest stay below!

Consider what you’re holding onto because you truly value it — and what you’re still participating in because you're afraid of what happens if you stop coming down the Mountain for everyone else? Not every network is for you. Thank god.

The signal can change before the words do.

Valleys People are built for connection, intimacy and sharing. You hear what is said — but you also hear how it is said. Tone matters. Timing matters. The pause matters. The shift in someone’s voice can tell you more than the sentence itself. You’re feeling into something else.

Libra Season asks you to listen closely, because the terms of a relationship may change before anyone formally names them.

You’ll feel it first. You’re super cool like that. You just gotta tune in.

What does that feel like for you?

This season, pay attention to who you are listening to. Whose voice keeps echoing long after the conversation is over? Which relationships create intimacy, flow and movement — and which ones leave you carrying everyone else’s noise?

Not every signal you receive is yours to keep. Not every signal feels good. And when you tune in to something that doesn’t sound or feel good for you, it’s your responsibility to respect that.

Honour your brilliant body’s ability to experience these signals.

Venus Retrograde may bring old voices, old agreements, or unfinished conversations back into range. Something that once sounded right may strike you differently now. A connection may need clearer language. A relationship may need new terms. Or you may realize you’ve been listening so closely to everyone else that you can no longer tell which thoughts, feelings or expectations actually belong to you.

Valleys need circulation, but you also need discharge. Let information move through you instead of becoming lodged inside you. As Pluto moves forward again, notice which conversations are changing tone, which channels are breaking down or have already transformed, and what becomes clear once the static leaves your system.

Evaluate what you’re holding onto because you truly value it — and what connection you’re still carrying because you’re afraid of what you might hear when it finally goes quiet… Or what you might feel (or not feel) if you unplug.

Shores

Do not confuse “the middle” with balance.

Shores People are built for thresholds — the places where two realities collide. Buuuut you transfer to Kitchens: the communities, artforms, crafts and systems where things are actively being made. You’re always going to have a relationship with the Kitchen; it’s part of your Environment spectrum. You understand a Kitchen by orbiting it — moving along its perimeter, returning from different angles, not by being swallowed into the core.

Remember: you need something to orbit.

But Libra Season may reveal where orbiting has become hovering. When you’re hovering, you’re not moving anymore. If you’re ever caught between two Shores… choosing one can feel like giving up the other — maybe even leaving one world behind. Yet whether you declare it or not, you are already standing somewhere. You are already on your side.

When you don’t realize that, you’ll start to hover, get stuck, and even pull into a space you don’t want to be in.

Be careful when you find yourself in places where you aren’t “picking sides”. Don’t overlook that you are already on a side — your side — and with Libra season comes some potential wishy washy peace-keeping, or an attempt to go “the middle way” just because you want to avoid the conflict of the Kitchen.

It’s helpful to remember you orbit Kitchens, and you always will. You will always require something TO ORBIT AROUND. You need that!

Keeping one foot on each Shore “so nobody judges you, nobody leaves, and no door fully closes” can actually make you heavy-footed somewhere in life. You can start to hover. Libra Season can amplify this.

You are not here to plant and sink.

You are here to orbit.

Orbit requires movement.

You’re always going to dip in. Just make sure you dip out, too!

And know you can orbit more than one thing. Venus Retrograde may return you to an old shoreline — a relationship, agreement, identity, desire, or even a familiar Kitchen. What you find there may look strangely familiar… but it’s important to remember you’re different from your last encounter with that community. What crossing have you avoided because choosing one side seems to mean losing access to the other?

Ask yourself: is that absolutely true?

As Pluto moves forward again, so can you. A border may need to be redrawn. A threshold crossed. A position FINALLY acknowledged. So what are you holding onto because you truly value it — and what threshold are you refusing to cross because you’re afraid of what choosing a side will cost you?
