Are You Carrying Too Much? A Real Human Design Case Study
What happens when the body seems to be carrying a burden it was never meant to hold?
An autoimmune case study redirects an investigation toward family patterns, pressure, communication — and everything the body may be carrying in silence. In this episode of What Is My Body Saying, I explore the Human Design Variables of an anonymous participant with the pseudonym Gaby Tacobowl.
About this Case Study
Gaby submitted a history of Hashimoto’s, arthritis in the knees, lichen sclerosus, chronic constipation, and recurring autoimmune flares. She also noted a pattern of illness among the women in her family.
Rather than treating these symptoms as a diagnosis, this case study asks what the body’s patterns may reveal when placed beside the individual’s Human Design. As I open Gaby’s chart, an unusual amount of pressure and openness appears in the lower half of the BodyGraph — alongside the design of a 6/2 Ego Manifestor with the Cross of Healing 1.
The investigation moves toward the burdens women may inherit through family, the information we take in from our family lines, and what can happen when an able, compassionate person keeps carrying more than is theirs to hold.
Variables examined
Determination: Direct Light
Environment: Valleys
Body's Inner Sense (Cognition): Taste
Body's Outer Sense: Outer Vision
Inside this Case Study
Why Gaby’s recurring autoimmune flares lead me to investigate the wider emotional and familial field around her
What an undefined Root and Solar Plexus may reveal about pressure, responsibility, and the body’s struggle to keep holding it all
How the Ego Manifestor’s strength and willpower can make a person especially vulnerable to taking on too much
Why arthritis in the knees redirects the investigation toward pride, burden, and the question: can you handle this? Do you need to?
What Direct Light Determination may suggest about daylight, inspiration, and creating a life that genuinely energizes the body
How Taste Cognition may require greater discernment around what — and who — a person takes in
Why a Valleys Person needs clear communication, nourishing information, and careful consideration of who is in their ear
Why the body may begin to flare when old pain, family dynamics, or unspoken experiences are left without an avenue to move
