Reminders for navigating the Playing Field of Life this season, whether you're Caves, Markets, Kitchens, Mountains, Valleys or Shores

Based on the position of the stars out there, how might you best hold yourself on Earth at this moment? Read more to orient and navigate the Playing Field of Life this season, according to what you resonate to.

There’s something about Capricorn season that always brings to mind a sharp-dressed man in a tailored suit, briefcase in hand. Capricorn is financially savvy—or wants to be. Entrepreneurial. Grounded. He trusts proven strategies and systems that work.

Let’s not forget that beneath that tailored suit, Capricorn is a strange creature, half amphibian, half goat; swimming through unconscious emotional realms, and breaking through the surface with hard-headed force of consciousness.

This year, that figure isn’t asking, “What are you building?”

He’s asking, “What structure still deserves your energy?”

Capricorn Season examines the structures in your life that don’t deserve to be carried forward.

Deep restructuring is a good thing.

You may be holding inherited responsibilities that no longer align with who you are or where you’re going. And that’s okay. You don’t have to keep carrying the briefcase — even if it’s made of beautiful leather, even if it’s valuable beyond reason, even if there’s a hidden microphone stitched into the seams, or a pearl inside.

If where you’re headed no longer includes the authority structures you once relied on—because they’ve collapsed, dissolved, or simply lost relevance—you may not need the briefcase at all.

Capricorn season invites a deep distinction between conscious responsibility and unconscious responsibility. There’s a shift underway in self-authorization — less reliance on traditional authority, more governance from within. You’re the one wearing the suit in this realm. You’re the one deciding what’s worth carrying or not.

Pay attention to emotional expenses this month. Not everything that costs you deserves your investment. What actually measures success at this stage of your life?

There may be a braid of grief and relief as you realize some timelines won’t be met — or that you no longer want what you’ve been chasing, or that some of the terms have changed.

This Capricorn season is about dismantling false responsibility. When you set it down, you’ll feel lighter, clearer, and far more available for what actually matters next.

Let’s explore how you’re designed to navigate this energy with your specific Enviroscope for Caves, Markets, Kitchens, Mountains, Valleys or Shores.

Caves Enviroscope

Imagine slow inward restructuring happening deep within you; like having an experience that stays with you, leaving you shaped and changed. It may have felt abrupt, but it also may have happened in a way you didn’t really realize as it was happening.

Wherever you find yourself now, whatever has restructured around you and within you, it’s created a new framework for you to live in and arrange yourself. You still need to protect number one first — that’s you — if it’s not good for you, don’t take on the responsibility. Just because you can hold something doesn’t mean you have to. You have to have your own back, and carrying something too heavy for you is a sure-fire way to break your back.

So what’s not worth breaking your back over?

Part of this month’s self-assessment as you navigate requires you to evaluate what you simply can’t carry — not even if you want to. There are some burdens that aren’t worth bearing, simply because you’re not made to hold them. They will break you. You’re not here to break.

Examine your life to recognize the areas where you feel like you’re breaking your back, or bending over backwards, or even pinching a nerve. This month, let yourself set things down as you pick them up and assess their weight. Give yourself permission to try something without committing. Don’t pick up more than you can carry.

Markets Enviroscope

You need some new investments this month. Putting your energy into something new and fresh will help you kick off the Solstice energy in an aligned way. Cardinal Seasons affect the entire planet, and your body is deeply connected to this rhythm and pulse.

Notice what you refresh this month; notice the things you change, feel sick of, or look forward to. You’re engaging with the things that deserve your energy. There are some things in your life that will fall away and expire. There is nothing you have to do about this, but noticing what’s falling away, expiring, or simply ending can be rewarding for your Consciousness to notice.

Shop around. Don’t commit to the first one you see. Give yourself time to weigh things and assess if it deserves your energy. You are unconsciously invested in a lot of things that are ready to shift, deepen or end. Shopping around gives your body time to discover exactly what it wants. Without this seasonal recycle, cleanse or reset, your system becomes increasingly vulnerable.

It’s not sustainable for you to live in last season’s energy.

Part of being a Markets Person is cultivating respect for how brilliant you are in your trade, and living in a way that allows you to thrive and maintain that brilliance. You need to acquire a certain discipline in your life — like those seasonal rituals you simply require — and living in a way that prioritizes those requirements.

Kitchens Enviroscope

Okay. Something’s just moved closer to you. A moment in time is approaching, or a big event is on the horizon, but some type of change is in your field of view now, and you’re being summoned into a new identity, chapter or timeline shift.

The anticipation can create a queasy unease in your reality.

Your body is sending you powerful signals. You have the most mutative lifestyle requirements as a Kitchens Person, and there are going to be times in your life where you are moved through a threshold, put in a cauldron, witness something transformational, or stumble into incredible art.

Your biggest hurdle is in surrendering to the natural unfolding of your present timeline. You can grip and take control if you want to experiment with that, and you can also sit in the cauldron and let the chemical reactions take place in the way they naturally unfold.

Molting or mutating or letting go or setting down — none of it is necessarily comfortable, but surrendering to the natural experience can also be exhilarating.

It’s OK that you don’t know who you will be on the other side. It’s OK that you set a boundary or deleted a boundary, or created an all-new reality for yourself. It’s OK if financial matters are influencing you or putting pressure on you. You’re just feeling the discomfort of the shift you’re in the middle of. There will be an end point. You will cross over to the other side. It’s OK that it’s uncomfortable right now.

Take extra care of yourself and put in targeted healing and cleansing rituals for a Kitchen Person’s body. Support yourself in the transformation.

Mountains Enviroscope

You’ve been catching glimpses of your future. Have you noticed? Have you peered around the edge of something, or out into the distance, and stole a glance of your future reality?

How did it feel to live as that version of yourself? Notice the parts that were uncomfortable, and notice the parts you’re quite proud of.

Reflect on what you are truly responsible for in your life. Look around you, subtly glancing the details of your life; the invisible tendrils that hold everything together. Where might we tug if we wanted everything to fall apart? If we tugged on one invisible string, and that string’s importance — tethered to so many other things — if we snipped that thread, the tendrils holding your life’s dynamics together would unravel.

Can you see the thread that holds it all together?

The thread might be obvious or it might be subtle. What do you see?

This stitching through your life is woven in subtle places. Notice how many other threads you could snip that wouldn’t affect the big picture or how everything is woven together.

You may have more than one thread that could theoretically be snipped, and you may have more than one crucial thread as well.

How might you reinforce the crucial threads that are essential to the lifeblood of your life, and how might you tend and trim the errant tendrils that don’t need to be there?

Valleys Enviroscope

Create or select a new playlist for this season. Arrange songs and melodies that inspire you to tune up your environment. Notice what lyrics have been speaking to you lately, or what songs struck an unexpected chord in you. Look closer to recognize what called to you in the melody and examine the jolts of life through your system.

A tune-up can be dialling up your attention to notice particular things happening in your life.

You have to unplug from certain connections this season as part of your most inherent and required self-care. Whatever way your disconnections show up for you, trust the process and set down the burdensome responsibility of plugging into everything and everyone.

The melody of your life is changing. A new symphony is underway.

Deep restructuring is a good thing.

There are always going to be times in your life where you’re holding a lot, or are plugged into a lot. Sometimes that will feel good, and other times things will begin to short circuit. It is simply the nature of how you are. Turning off the computer sometimes is actually a good thing. “Sleep mode” doesn’t really mean “restored”.

Light, innocent plug-ins to old familiar energy, like friends, family, or rituals specific to you, can be a form of medicine; nourishing something deep in your bones. Notice who or what feels good to connect to, and what doesn’t deserve your energy investment anymore.

There may have already been burdens and responsibilities you’ve set down, and this month you may feel the weight or lightness of those previous decisions.

Shores Enviroscope

Pour yourself a drink. Take a breath. Sit down. Take a sip.

Bring up your favourite bag in your mind’s eye. The one you use in your life, either every day or sometimes. Maybe it’s only for special events.

What comes to mind when you think of your favourite bag?

When do you like to use this bag? Do you need to go on some kind of adventure in order to meaningfully use it? What does this bag represent in your life? What do you put it in when you go out on your adventure? What are you doing on your adventure when you’re using this bag? Is it a versatile bag, supportive of many activities, or is it for a more specific-use?

What does this bag hold in your life?

Take a sip. Breathe.

What is it about this bag that makes it your favourite? Do you have another bag that is a close contender, or another favourite?

Now imagine you lose this bag; it’s taken, stolen, destroyed, or lost.

What do you lose? What does this bag hold that would really be a loss? Is this bag irreplaceable, or would you replace it, meaning it’s essential for you.

Whatever this bag holds is your favourite essential in life. It’s essential you prioritize this life essential on your Playing Field. Do you throw this bag on the floor? Does it hang in a go-to spot? How do you treat this essential bag that holds a crucial component to your lifestyle?

Are you using it enough?

Take a sip. Breathe.

Be open to seeing things in a new way this month. Your bag is not just a bag.
