2026 Cancer Season
How to navigate the Playing Field of Life as a Caves, Markets, Kitchens, Mountains, Valleys or Shores Person this month.
Welcome home.
Not necessarily to a place.
To yourself.
Cancer Season arrives with the Solstice — the longest day of the year — marking an important threshold… and a different quality of light.
This is the moment where your tune may change this year. Something has shifted deep inside, and your spirit will spend the month catching up to realize it.
You may notice yourself slowing down.
Remembering.
Looking backward before moving forward.
This month, there may be a lot of remembering and revisiting conversations or ideas you thought were finished. In fact, the way you remember them may suddenly feel different.
New.
You may be thinking about your concept of family, belonging, your childhood, your home(s), or what safety actually feels like in your body.
This month, there are some significant shifts.
Jupiter completes its year-long journey through Cancer before stepping into Leo. It's as though we've spent the past year strengthening our roots before being asked to become a little more visible in the world.
And to grow a little taller.
Jupiter is expansive and benevolent, moving away from the Crab and to the Lion. This energy invites us to gather everything we've learned about our sense of nourishment, belonging, and emotional resilience before asking us to wear it all boldly — heart on your sleeve! — and bravely shine a little brighter.
When Mercury stations retrograde in Cancer, you'll find yourself reconnecting with forgotten pieces of yourself, revealing where your emotional world has quietly evolved and changed shape. This is a pretty deep emotional season for a sign that typically prefers to keep things at the surface.
Then Chiron, the wounded healer, enters Taurus, beginning a much longer transit and conversation around our relationship with our body, what we value, and what it means to truly feel at home on Earth.
Wounds will be revealed around:
Body.
Home.
Land.
A great anchor for self-inquiry during this watery month is:
What actually nourishes me now?
If you're feeling especially nesty this month, you might find yourself reorganizing a room, moving furniture, tending your garden, or creating spaces that hold you a little more comfortably. If that's calling to you, wander through my Set Up Your Space blog series and see if one of the rooms in your home has been waiting for a little extra love.
As the world continues changing around us, your body remains one of the few instruments that never stops orienting. It's calibrated magnificently.
Listen carefully.
Listen to your body.
It IS your home.

Your Mantra: Take things one at a time.
There are going to be some interesting tests for you this month. Will you be yoinked out of your comfort zone, away from your cozy creature comforts and sent far away out on the Mountain… or are you being given an opportunity to really listen to your body and the alerts it’s giving you?
If something doesn’t feel right to you, it’s not right for you.
There’s no wave you have to ride. There’s no trauma you need to talk through.
If something doesn’t feel safe to you, for any reason…
It’s just not for you.
And WHAT a relief to set that niggling conscience aside and lean into the guidance of your personal compass.
Your body.
And while something dangerous or too risky right now might very well be FOR you in the future as time moves and you continue to grow, your body will let you know at THAT time. You’re only ready when you’re ready, and your personal mantra is to take things one at a time.
How freeing and unburdening to know your body is always dialled in, and it’s designed to orient to what is low-risk, what is safe and secure, and what is simple.
When opportunities and experiences begin to deviate from that sensation, or evolve and change on their own, your only responsibility is to recognize when something shifts and doesn’t feel right to you anymore.
Thank you, body!
You’ll know you’re shifting because you’ll start to feel overwhelmed and pulled in numerous directions. That’s exactly when you start saying No like it’s your day job.
We hear so much advice about putting ourselves out there, trying something new, taking a chance, taking a risk, getting out of our comfort zone; but these teachings, though wise and full of experience, they just don’t apply to you.
Those teachings are for someone else!
Not everything out there applies to you, and learning to discern and filter through that noise is going to make your experience in Earth School much easier to navigate.
You can always venture out and make the climb up the Mountain, but every night before dusk, you’re going to have to bunker down, set up camp, and find a safe spot to rest.
Otherwise, the journey is not sustainable.
So, where are you uncomfortable in your life right now? You know something needs to shift there, but you also don’t need to put yourself in a risky or dangerous situation just to adapt and make things work. In fact, how can you do the opposite? How might you lean into what you’re most comfortable doing, and start offloading everything that doesn’t fit that feeling?
Don’t do anything you’re not comfortable with.

Your Mantra: Saying NO like it’s your day job!
This month, something pretty major is under review.
Are you happy?
Are you fulfilled?
Are you feeling cared for in each corner of your life?
Your home life is going to pull focus this month. And how good you feel at home is something that requires your attention and observation.
Where are the spots that you tuck away and hide? Where do you curl up and shut out the family or the world?
And WHEN are you participating in that behaviour? What causes you to hermit away?
Whatever change is on the horizon for you, or whatever you have recently changed, it may take some time adjusting and getting used to. You like (and need) things a certain way, and getting as clear as possible about what that looks like is not something that will happen overnight.
All month, clarity will build slowly, giving you the time and space to contemplate how you want to feel in this next chapter.
Your body is your compass. It helps you navigate. Your body is also incredibly sensitive; that’s why you’re so brilliant. You are extremely susceptible to what’s around you. This is both your superpower and your crux. The sooner you respect this about your experience, the easier things will become.
Getting radically honest and clear about this will help you in all your relationships, too. Even with the guy across the street, or the grocer you regularly see on Thursdays. You should be saying No more than Yes, because not everything is for you — no matter how badly you want to keep the peace, make others happy, or feel good inside. Saying NO is your mantra! Use it.
If you centred yourself back in your own story, how would the details of your life look? How many of those details are based on the wants and needs of others?
This month, notice what you trade with others to get something you want. Where are you willing to bend or compromise? Is it your time? Your partner’s wants? Over money?
A trade and a sacrifice are not the same thing. In a trade, you get something, too. Just make sure you’re not on the losing end; otherwise, that’s a shitty exchange, my friend.
The more you decline and use your No, the more you’re curating the perfect surroundings for you — the more you say No when it’s actually a No, the more you respect yourself. The more you make space for the things that actually ARE aligned to you — and you’ll know that instantly.
Other people can feel this self-respect on you too, and your opportunities and options will become more and more abundant and aligned when you recenter yourself and don’t settle for crumbs.
Everyone involved can get everything they want. So what’s the trade-off, and are you comfortable with that?
Listen to your body.

Your Mantra: Switch things up! Get to the HEART of it!
It’s time for something new, hey?
Have you felt a little bored, itchy, or stale — or just like something needs to shake up around you?
If things have felt a little tight or a little stiff the last few months, this is finally the time to get creative in an all-new way.
You are so sparkly when you use your abilities; when you put on your creative hat and mix things up in your community or your practice. Whether that’s at home, in your friend circle (who feels WAY more like family), or even at the office.
This month, if home life feels a little chaotic, how can you lean into it as a time of deep creativity? What can you turn on its head and do differently?
It is very likely that you’ll need to switch things up at home.
Switching things up is part of your mantra! Sometimes that comes through bumping into someone on the street, other times it’s bumping heads with your child or partner at home.
But your strength is when things come together.
Not when they fall apart.
Interestingly, sometimes things need to fall apart so you can come together in a more aligned way.
The other part of your mantra is to get to the heart of it.
This is a great time to be reviewing your core values.
Put it all in the pot and stir it up. Cook it. Let it boil. Let those juices thicken. See what new thing emerges when you mix it all up, reorganize it, switch things out, DELETE, and let the chemical reactions unfold.
At this time, we need you to lean into your magic.
You’re bumping into things all the time anyway, and as the most resilient of us, you can endure far more than the average. In fact, when things get chaotic, unpredictable, or start to shift, those are the exact moments where your abilities ignite. What’s your relationship with endurance? What if you happen to be brilliant there?
It’s time to recognize that you’re on fire! Your core practice, core work, or core values are being reevaluated this month. Lean in.

Your Mantra: Drop the baggage. Let go of what is beneath you.
Wheeeeeew! I hope you’re ready.
You. Are. NEEDED. And it may not be where you think!
This month, you’re going to be reevaluating something major. Is it time for someone to move in with you? Is it time to move house or move shop? Is it time for someone to move out of your life?
This is a month of emotional reevaluation, and you have a unique perspective that can help your network and most important people elevate the way they perceive something.
A relationship may be ready to go to the next level, whether that’s romantic, professional or online.
If things at home or in your profession have felt a little slow or stale, this is a great time to take a chance or take a new risk. If you’ve been hiding, it’s time to come out and show yourself.
What are the essentials you require in your relationships? What essentials are needed in your romantic life? How about with your clients, customers or coworkers?
What about with yourself?
You’re entering a new cycle of exploring what deep inner trust looks like, and while en route, you may uncover a few sneaky places where you’ve been denying yourself, putting others first, or not centering yourself in our own story.
Your people really do get you, and you can feel when they don’t. Whether you receive a ping, ride a wave, or need to talk things out, your body is the compass there to guide you.
This month kicks off a year of increasing your discernment on what is for you and not for you. You’ve likely said goodbye to those who were a drag this year, and if you haven’t, you may notice a few relationships change course this month.
Drop the baggage and let go of what is beneath you. It’s your mantra.
We hear so much advice like — hang on! Stick it out in thick and thin! But the truth is, this advice is for someone else. Not everything is for you. When you hang on to something your body wants to let go of, or when you accumulate relationships, things, or ideas that aren’t essential, you may find the excess starts to weigh you down in curious corners of your life.
A mean or nagging friend you tolerate just because they’re in the friend group, or that family member in your life who rags on you “because they love you” — might actually affect you at work, or in your romantic life, or in your relationship with your body.
For you, it’s better to have spaciousness and a wide perspective so you can see more clearly. When something gets a little too close, and you DON’T like what you see, listen to your body and put some healthy distance between you.
For you, it’s better to have four quarters than 100 pennies. Keeping those pockets light doesn’t necessarily mean a decrease in value.

Your Mantra: Respect your limits.
Where you at these days?
Are you hiding? Are you hermitting? Are you recovering from something?
Or are you vibing? Are you grounded? Are you putting yourself out there?
This month, your emotions may be closer to the surface than usual. Something has completed. Something has begun. Whether you’re usually a deep person and emotionally level, or whether you’re a self-proclaimed crier, you are the most connected to the emotional realm out of all of us.
You pick up on things in your family, friend group, professional life, romantic life — even the collective — before others do. And during Cancer Season, the world may be feeling more than usual, in which case you will feel through them.
You’ll feel your own shit, and theirs, too.
And before you shrug and yelp, “WELL THAT’S JUST GREAT,” remember, there is nothing wrong with this. In fact, it’s what’s brilliant about you.
Sometimes when you’re overloaded, you tend to go numb (or erupt), so you always want to respect your limits. This is your mantra. But you can’t change how you are.
You’re perfect, anyway.
Learning your limits in life is an incredibly self-loving act. Those who are calibrated to the Valley are attuned in a different way. And when the planet is charged with emotion, expansion, and heightened awareness through our connectivity, you’re gonna feel it in a different way than 5/6 of the world.
This is not an easy time to be alive for you, and also, you have an advantage because you get the info before everyone else. You may even feel it in your body before your consciousness realizes it.
How can you use this to your advantage?
By listening to your body.
What signals has your body been sending to you lately? Are you listening?
Even if you reflect on the past week, month, or season, has something been building deep inside?
Pay attention to how you feel in the spaces you move through this month, and notice which environments activate or trigger an emotion in you. This is very telling.
Be aware of the ones who scold you for your naturalness, and be real about whether you need to stay connected to those who want to change you because they can’t change themselves.
You can’t just turn off how you are.
And while you’re all for enhancements, it’s gotta be respectful and properly dialled in.
Otherwise? It’s all just noise, and you have to adjust the dial to tune it out and hear the REAL transmissions properly.
Remember: You have the advantage.

Your Mantra: Dip in a little deeper each time, and orbit before you enter.
Cancer Season is going to remind you of one of your greatest gifts: you don't need to go right to the heart of something to understand it. In fact, you often see, feel, and understand more by remaining on the edge.
By circling the perimeter to build perspective.
By dipping in a little more each time.
Rather than rushing into the center of every emotionally charged conversation, project, or experience this month, take a breath and spend some time orbiting its perimeter. Give space. Walk around it. Observe the situation from multiple angles. Talk to someone who isn’t involved.
The more of a person or place’s landscape you can see, the more naturally clarity will emerge to you.
This is also an excellent month to dip into a totally new world. It’s a Water Month, and you’re a Water Person in that you have a special relationship to the water compared to most. You don’t have to like swimming per se, in fact, you may even get most of your downloads in the shower or bath — especially when it comes to understanding how someone important to you is feeling. This is what it means to not necessarily go right to the heart and core of a situation, but take your own space, wash your own head to shake their spirits from your hair and come back to yourself.
You’re always going to melt into the other. It’s the basic nature of how you are and what’s magical about you. How can you respect this feature in your experience deeply?
Try wandering through a neighbourhood you've never explored. Visit a museum, a beach, a bookstore, a festival, or another community, and just walk around taking it all in. Read outside your usual interests. Spend time with people whose lives look different from your own or what you’re used to.
With Jupiter stepping into Leo, this season also asks you to expand your heart and pioneer something new inside yourself. Explore unfamiliar territory. Let your curiosity lead, and trust where your body takes you.
New paths are rarely obvious when you’re already on them, and from the middle of the crowd they can be hard to see. You often discover your richest insights while you’re walking along the edges; one foot in and one foot out.
It doesn’t mean you’re half-heartedly invested in something; it means you are here for the middle way. And the middle way is all about balance. Balance is about not over-doing it or under-doing it.
Your mantra is to dip in a little deeper each time, but to orbit before you enter.
This month, stand between what has been and what could be. Respect that “when you’re in it,” you actually can’t see, but when you’re orbiting something, you can and will see much farther than most. This is key to how you understand things and evolve into who you’re becoming.
