Determination Experiment
The Seven Circles of Wellness
Indigenous Teachings for Living Well by Chelsey Luger & Thosh Collins

The Practice
Tune into seven spheres of wellness to assess how full or empty you feel in that area of life. You are going to assess how full to draw your circle so that it represents how full that specific sphere of life feels.
The Tools
• Paper
• Pen or Pencil
• The patience to save your drawing and check in again
Favourite practice
The Seven Circles is my favourite way to scan the different areas in my life to measure my health and wellness. It’s a practice I return to again and again, personally, with my partner, with my closest friends, and now, even my 10-year-old son.
What I really I like is how this experiment affirms how evolved I am as a person alive right now, while educating and inspiring me to bring meaningful changes to the areas in life that I’ve identified I’m being under- or overfed in.

At-Home Experiment
This experiment helps you recognize dynamic nourishment, and how feeding into the different areas of your life needs to be considered for well-rounded health. It is designed to help decolonize and indigenize our relationship with our health. Learn how to increase your awareness of seven areas in life that directly feed into your spiritual, mental, physical and emotional well-being.

Step 1
Tune in to each sphere of life to determine whether you feel full or empty in this area of wellness. If you feel out of balance, draw a smaller circle. When you’re done, draw a line that connects this sphere to your centre sphere
Step 2
Repeat this process through the Seven Circles, to reveal your constellation-dna-like image.
Step 3
Depending what you see, where can you make adjustments in life to increase the fullness of some of your depleted circles? This practice helps you tune in to your multidimensionality to recognize where or when you need an adjustment.
Step 4
After some time has passed, re-engage with this practice to continue building your awareness. Notice how your circles CHANGE and how you are called to feed into different areas of life during different times of life.
This is an experiment where the magic unfolds in your SECOND time engaging with it as a practice; when you can see the changes that have shifted.
