The Art of Receiving: Compliments, Abundance, and Building Your Capacity to Receive

What if receiving is a learnable skill — and not a personality trait?

In this solo InSight, I explore one of the most overlooked arts of being human: receiving! From compliments and generosity to abundance, pleasure, and love, I share why so many of us instinctively deflect the very things we're longing for — and how playful experiments can help us build a greater capacity to let life in.

About this conversation

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about the art of receiving, and not just receiving compliments, but receiving love, support, pleasure, abundance, and the feeling of allowing life to actually reach us.

In this solo conversation, I explore why so many of us were taught how to give, protect, and hold everything together, but were never shown how to receive well. Through playful experiments, observations from everyday life, and a healthy dose of humour, I invite you to notice how you engage with receiving — and what might change if you gently expanded your capacity for it.
